Offered: Synopsis: This unit introduces students to a range of procedures and techniques through set projects. Although conceptual, aesthetic and theoretical concerns are addressed, this unit primarily focuses on developing students' technical and perceptual skills. Creative problems in ceramics are investigated, strengthening technical and aesthetic competence. Students begin to focus on technical and conceptual issues that lay the foundations for a more personal direction in their work. Assessment: Folio: 100%, of which at least 20% is assessed early in the semester Contact Hours: 3 taught hours and 9 independent study hours Prerequisites: APA1213 Corequisites: N/A |
