APA1213Ceramics 1B (6 points)(A&D) Leader:
Offered: Synopsis: This unit introduces students to a range of procedures and techniques through set projects. Although conceptual, aesthetic and theoretical concerns are addressed, this unit primarily focuses on developing students' technical and perceptual skills. Emphasis is placed on the materials and processes of forming and finishing ceramic artwork. Teaching is by group and individual tuition. Health and safety procedures are taught and practiced in the ceramics studios. Assessment: Folio: 100%, of which at least 20% is assessed early in the semester Contact Hours: 12 hours per week including 3 taught hours and 9 independent study hours Prerequisites: Permission of unit coordinator Corequisites: N/A |
