first time in 2000, replacing the Bachelor of Business (Business
Administration)
This course is intended for students seeking a business degree with a strong
emphasis on human resources. The course will provide preparation for the many
career opportunities in the human resources field.
The course offers a basic grounding in recognised business disciplines with
some exposure to accounting, finance, business law, management, marketing and
economics as well as a range of specialised human resource studies including
managerial communication, human resources management and strategy,
organisational change and employee relations. Elective studies will provide the
opportunity to broaden students' knowledge and meet individual career needs in
human resources combined with other disciplines such as psychology.
This course is offered on a full-time or part-time basis. It is appropriate for
school-leavers who have demonstrated exceptional academic ability or business
people wishing to complement their experience and gain a formal educational
qualification.
In addition to part one, section five of the degree regulations, the following credit transfers have been standardised for the Bachelor of Business (Human Resources):

six electives from any discipline within any faculty, subject to approval from
