Chief Practical Study V

6 points + 3 hours per week + First semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: MUS2990, MUS2120

Synopsis: Students prepare a chief practical study program totalling 20 minutes. The chief practical study program should include works of varied periods and at least one multi-movement work. Students must submit a report (in booklets provided) to their teachers at each weekly lesson on progress made on their technical work, performance and repertoire study (including readings), presenting the accumulated reports in a final assignment to the School in the last week of the semester. Students will take part in chamber, orchestral, choral or accompanying ensembles as allocated.

Assessment: Written (2400 words): 35% + Chief practical study examination and chamber performance examination : 65%
