MUS2990Chief Practical Study IV(ART)
Peter Handsworth 6 points + 2 hours per week + Second semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: Audition Synopsis: Students prepare for performance on the student's chief instrument a unified program of works from at least two historical periods and submit a report at each weekly lesson to their teachers about progress made on their technical work, performance and repertoire study. Students will present the weekly reports in a final assignment to the School in the last week of the semester. Students need to take part in chamber, orchestral, choral or accompanying ensembles as allocated as a hurdle requirement. Assessment: Written (2400 words) : 35% + Practical performance examination: 65% + Students must gain a minimum of 70% Distinction in the exam in order to proceed to MUS3980 + If you fail the exam at the end of the year, you will be offered the opportunity of a re- examination which will take place prior to commencement of Semester 1, 2002. |
