6 points + 2 hours per week + First semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: MUS2020, MUS2030 or approved prior experience and audition

Synopsis: Instrument specific pedagogy: In a workshop and seminar setting, instrumental specialists will teach students to develop a thorough knowledge of intermediary instrumental/vocal technique and rehearse chamber music/piano accompaniment in performance workshops. Issues in professional practice: Through lectures and seminars, industry-specific issues and chamber music issues are critically evaluated and methods that constructively address the issues are elucidated.

Assessment: Teaching demonstration (15 minutes) and/or Performance (chamber music or piano accompaniment): 50% + Written assignment (2500 words): 50%
