MUS2030Practical musical skills II(ART)
Peter Handsworth 6 points + 2 hours per week + Second semester + Clayton Synopsis: Aural Training: Students extend their aural skills through a one-hour weekly aural class in which advanced rhythmic and melodic dictation and inner hearing are further developed through class sight singing, aural tutorials and tests. Additional support through completion of computer programs in aural skills in the music technology studio is offered. Pedagogy: The subject introduces motivation, goal setting and planning and further develops problem-solving skills in the teaching environment. Instrument teaching skills are developed further with increasing instrument specificity. Assessment: Examination (1.5 hours): 40% + Assignments, tests and presentations: 60% |
