6 points + 2 hours per week + First semester + Gippsland, distance and Berwick + Prerequisites: GSC2903, GSC2905 or GSC2907 or permission (GSC2901 and GSC2902 or equivalents for students who commenced prior to 1999)

Synopsis: This subject will deal with journalism in both an international and a regional context. The subject will consider questions such as the development of Asian values for journalism and the impact this may have on Australian journalism.

Assessment: Two advanced reporting projects and proposals (total 2500 words): 60% + Research project and proposal (total 2000 words): 40%
