German Studies, advanced IV, part 1

6 points + 4 hours per week + First semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: GRN2525, or equivalent (to be determined after consultation with subject coordinators) + Prohibitions GRN3315, GRN3415, GRN3515

Synopsis: Component 1: Advanced spoken and written German. Component 2: The focus is on the artistic and intellectual developments in German and Austrian culture from the Fin du Siècle until the end or World War 2. Assessment: Essay (1000 words): 20% + Classpaper: 15% + Test (45 min.): 15% + Exam (1 hour): 20% + 4 homework exercises: 20% + Oral assessment: 10%
