GRN1128German for Hospitality and Tourism, Introductory, Part 2(ART)
C Weller 6 points + 5 hours per week + Second semester + Berwick + Prerequisites: GRN1115 or GRN1118 + Prohibitions: GRN1125, GRN1225, GRN1325, GRN1425, GRN1525 and GRN1625 Synopsis: Component 1: A German language course with a communicative focus. Students will work through a range of topics related to tourism and hospitality. Students will analyse and produce a variety of types of discourse. Component 2: Social and cultural history of German-speaking countries from the First World War to the present day. This component will familiarise students with the history, culture and the socio-economic conditions of the German-speaking countries from the First World War to the present day enabling the students to communicate appropriately within their chosen field of expertise. Assessment: Oral assessment: 10% + Class project: 10% + Homework exercises: 20% + Examination (Component 1 - 1 hour): 40% + Examination (Component 2 - 1 hour): 20% |
