Mr Paul Sugden; Malaysia: Ms Elsa Singam 6 points + Two 1-hour lectures and one 1-hour tutorial + Second semester + Berwick, Gippsland, Malaysia, Peninsula + Distance education + Prerequisite: nil + Prohibitions: BTF2181 and BTC3300 Synopsis: This subject involves a study of the legal framework which operates in relation to marketing decisions and practice. It examines the impact of common law, legislation and self-regulating codes of practice in the market place. Particular topics covered include intellectual property rights, product development and promotion, product safety and quality, the regulation of unfair and anti-competitive conduct and electronic marketing and the law.
