The Graduate Certificate in Human Resources provides managers who already hold an undergraduate degree with the opportunity to undertake formal study and gain a qualification in the field of human resource management. This course also enables managers to make the transition to a new role in human resource management.
The course provides study for graduates who are actively involved and interested in managerial and strategic issues related to managing people. Students have the opportunity to develop their knowledge base in human resource management by examining the theoretical bases and research in this field. Further, subjects in this course cover a wide range of contemporary practical issues related to managing human resources.
Applicants require a pass degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution. Applicants without a first degree who have a minimum of six years appropriate employment experience should refer to the section on executive certificates. Candidates may be eligible for a maximum of two credit exemptions for subjects considered to be equivalent to particular subjects in the course of study. Refer to the course director for further details.
This is a fee-paying course. Candidates should consult the Faculty of Business and Economics as to the 2001 course fee. Course fees are set and reviewed annually and are therefore subject to change.
