Applicants
should have fulfilled appropriate entry criteria for either the Bachelor of
Business and Commerce or the Bachelor of Arts. Applicants will be expected to
have above average results in Year 12 or equivalent. Students who have
completed the first year of the normal Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Business
and Commerce at the Gippsland campus with good academic results may be admitted
to the second year of the double degree with full credit for appropriate
first-year studies. All applicants should be willing to undertake a normal
workload of eight subjects a year full-time or four subjects a year part-time
or by distance education.

In
order to complete the Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Business and Commerce degree
students must complete;
(a) 204 points including 108 points from Business and Economics and 96
points from Arts;
To complete the Bachelor of Business and Commerce component, students must
undertake six core Business and Economics subjects;
AFW1001 Introductory accounting A
ECW1101 Introductory microeconomics
BTW1200 Business law
MGW1010 Managing people and organisations
MKW1120 Marketing theory and practice
ETW1102 Business statistics
Completion of at least 48 points of business subjects beyond first year level,
including at least
24 credit points at third level (the business major sequence meets part of this
requirement).
(b) complete at least one major (48 points) and one minor (24 points) from
disciplines offered by the School of Humanities, Communications and
Social Science.
