The Master of Management (Human Resource Management) acknowledges the
fundamental importance of good people management in the success of both public
and private organisations. It provides existing, and aspiring, managers with
the opportunity to increase their competence in this specialist area through
the study of theory, research and law relating to the workplace management of
people. The course material is presented at an advanced level and will build
upon prior studies in management at the postgraduate or honours level.
Candidates need to have completed, with an average grade of credit or above, an
honours degree or a graduate diploma in a relevant discipline, or equivalent
qualification from a recognised tertiary institution. Candidates may be
eligible for a maximum of two credit exemptions for subjects considered to be
equivalent to particular requirements in the course of study. Refer to the
course director for further details.
This is a fee-paying course. Candidates should consult the Department of
Management as to the 2000 course fee. Course fees are set and reviewed annually
and are therefore subject to change.
