Synopsis: A study of employee relations in Pacific Rim economies including Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the ASEAN countries, the USA and New Zealand. Comparisons will be undertaken with the Australian system. Australian managers need to understand the approaches exhibited in these countries because of trends towards economic integration within the region.

Assessment: Written (4000-word assignment): 40% + Examination (take-home): 60%
