Objectives On successful completion of this subject, students should be able to apply digital imaging, scripting and organisational techniques and concepts to project work; develop and produce a multimedia project which may include interface, concept and design, video and audio clips, animation and interactivity; use and experiment with various software to develop, edit and compile the content for their project; work in a variety of roles required in the development and production of multimedia; confront the conceptual and technical demands of producing multimedia with understanding and insight.
Synopsis This unit focuses on the production, or 'putting together', of a multimedia project. Students begin by developing content for the project completed in DIS2905. Students are encouraged, to work in groups, with each student being responsible for specific, yet various, aspects of the production. As much as possible, students' preferences will be catered for. A completed multimedia project is the expected outcome of this unit. All students are involved in the analysis and assessment of completed projects. It also equips students with the skills and experience required for DIS3702. The course is delivered through small group sessions of fifteen students per group.
