Objectives On successful completion of this subject, students should be able to demonstrate an ability to work independently at an advanced level within their specialist area of research; demonstrate a high degree of competence in planning, developing and completing a folio of work at an advanced conceptual and technical level in their nominated area of study; accurately document work for promotional purposes within a folio format; employ refined and sophisticated methods in the creation and production of studio work; determine the practical and logistical considerations in the establishment of a studio/workshop.

Synopsis As this is the last subject in a series, students work independently on a specific program of work approved by their subject adviser. The program is based on previous skills and knowledge that directly relate to the production of wood objects with 'individual' design competence. Students document a folio of major works completed during the course of study for future promotional purposes. Consideration is given to the planning and implementation of professional practice outcomes either at post graduate level of study, career networking, or in the establishment of a workshop and subsequent practice.
