Synopsis This subject will build upon the material covered in MPH2043 (Chemical environment I) by providing students with an understanding of specific chemical hazards, their effects, measurement, evaluation and control. Metals, dusts, gases and vapours, solvents, pesticides, dioxins, food additives and contaminants, environmental illness and chemical sensitivity, chemical sampling, control hierarchy, ventilation and protective equipment will be covered.
