* Prerequisites: MAT1010 (although a credit grade or higher in MAT1050 is an acceptable alternative)
* Prohibitions: GAS1612, GAS1615, MAT1080, MAT1812, MAT1920

Objectives On completion of this subject students should know and understand concepts in the area of matrices, linear equations, vectors, calculus of functions of several variables, and differential equations; and have developed skills in performing calculations and solving problems in these areas.

Synopsis Matrices and linear algebra. Vector algebra and geometry. Differential calculus of functions of more than one variable. Line integrals and vector fields. Differential equations.

Assessment Examination: 85%
* Assignments: 15%
