Objectives On completion of the subject, students should be able to plan and deliver effective technical presentations; plan and effectively participate in meetings; evaluate different communication technologies and have the skills to use basic computer communication tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Netscape Gold.
Synopsis Topics covered include the Internet as a communication medium; Web design; computer-aided visuals; technical communication; theories of communication; non-verbal communication; working in groups; interpersonal communication; the art of persuasion; audience identification.
