Objectives This subject gives students a general understanding of the principles of planning and execution of operational activities in organisations which manufacture and deliver goods and services to meet the needs of a market.
Synopsis The subject also studies the relationships between operations, financial performance and the business strategy of an organisation. Topics include general business activities, financial analysis, project management, manufacturing planning, management software, ISO 9000 standards for quality assurance, service issues and business strategy.
Assessment Assignments: 70%
* Examination (2
hours): 30%
* Both parts of the assessment will allow students to
concentrate on topics of interest
