Process design and operation I

* Prerequisites: CHE2100, CHE2111, CHE2120, CHE2140

Objectives The student is expected to develop skills in process and equipment design; to integrate concepts, principles and knowledge from other course subjects; and to recognise constraints and limitations in design data, methods and solutions.

Synopsis A first design course covering aspects of process design, process flowsheeting, utilities systems, equipment specification and materials selection.

Assessment Examinations: 60%
* Projects: 40%
