The Graduate Certificate in Human Resources is designed primarily for graduates from a range of disciplines who wish to develop their knowledge and skills in the area of managing employment relations, including human resource management and industrial relations.
On completion of this course, students should:
Applicants require a pass degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution. Applicants without a first degree who have a minimum of six years appropriate employment experience should refer to the section on executive certificates.
This is a fee-paying course. Candidates should consult the School of Business and Electronic Commerce as to the 1998 course fee. Course fees are set and reviewed annually and are therefore subject to change.
This course is offered by distance education from the School of Business and Electronic Commerce.
Candidates may be eligible for a maximum of two credit exemptions for subjects considered to be equivalent to particular subjects in the course of study. Please refer to the course director for further details.
The Graduate Certificate in Human Resources consists of four subjects normally taken over two semesters of study.

Additionally, students may select, with the approval of the course director, any other graduate-level subject that satisfies the objectives and standards of this course.
Please note that students considering articulation into the Graduate Diploma in Human Resources should undertake the first-year subjects specified for that course.
Students who successfully complete the Graduate Certificate in Human Resources may apply for admission to either the Graduate Diploma in Human Resources or the Graduate Diploma of Business (Management).
