Objectives To develop further the knowledge students gained in KRS2010, to expand further on the topics of the lectures through tutorial discussions and debates, to make students aware how the legacy of the past still impacts on Koorie/Aboriginal society today, and to establish a basic understanding of the issues affecting contemporary Koorie/Aboriginal communities by studying such areas as government policy and service provision.
Synopsis Koorie studies II focuses on government policies and ad hoc policies as they apply to Koories and Koorie organisations. This will lead to the situation of Koories in contemporary Australia.
Assessment Written work (3000 words): 40%
