Objectives Students successfully completing this subject should have a systematic understanding of Japanese grammar at the intermediate level and have developed skills (including the use of basic honorifics); to establish relationships with Japanese people, interview them and write a short report, a resume and undertake a job interview. Students should also be able to recognise 250 kanji newly introduced in this subject (in total 750). There is the additional objective of developing the skill of writing a formal letter.
