* Prerequisites: Mass communications major, GSC2410 and GSC2411 or equivalents; English major, two second-level subjects or permission

Assessment Essay one (1000 words): 20%
* Essay two (2000 words): 30%
* Examination (3 hours): 50%
* The total word length for assessment will not exceed 6000 words
* For the final essay students doing the subject at third-year level will require a demonstration of wider reading, greater analytical grasp of the topic, or a deeper acquaintance with the issues covered.
