Cultural interaction in the performing arts of contemporary Asia

Objectives On successful completion of this subject students should have gained an understanding of processes of cultural interaction in the contemporary performing arts of several Asian countries, with specific emphasis on Indonesia. They should also have explored the shaping role of contextual factors such as sponsorship, social purpose of the performance and ideological climate on the content of performance.
