Objectives On successful completion of this subject, students should understand the relationship between practice and theory; be able to rationalise and articulate concepts and designs; demonstrate the competency, confidence and design sophistication required for employment in the graphic design industry.
Synopsis This subject continues the projects of VCO3105, requiring research and application of material across a broad subject range including expressive typography, logo and corporate identity design, brochure design, posters, calendars, self-promotion, editorial layout, packaging, visualising and finished art. Specialist areas such as digital imaging, illustration, interactive design, electronic publishing and photo media interface with specific projects where appropriate. Folio preparation will also be covered.
