Objectives On successful completion of this subject, students should have an appreciation of the skills required to produce ceramic works of quality through mould-forming processes; considerable manipulative skills in mould-making procedures; developed a personal and experimental approach to ceramic production through mould-making; an extended understanding of the materials used in slip cast ceramic manufacture.
Synopsis Students, in consultation with the staff undertake chosen projects linking the theoretical and practical content of the subject. Students are encouraged to design and produce original wares through mould-forming processes, and to identify this elective subject with their core subject studio.
