Ceramic mould-forming processes 2

Objectives On successful completion of this subject, students should have an increased technical expertise across a range of mould-forming processes; considerable confidence and self-reliance in the design process for mould making; a greater knowledge of the mould-forming materials; a clear understanding of health and safety procedures in the plaster studio.

Synopsis Through formal studio sessions, demonstrations and lectures, this subject continues to build on the skills of mould-making practice. Students are presented with problem-solving projects which increase their technical and aesthetic competence. Students are encouraged to identify this elective subject with their core subject studio.
