Objectives On successful completion of this subject, students should have an extended understanding of ceramic surface decoration procedures and techniques; an appreciation of aesthetically appropriate decoration; a broad knowledge of ceramic decorating materials.

Synopsis Formal studio sessions, demonstrations and lectures advance students' designing processes and technical skills, as well as increasing their understanding of firing processes and materials associated with the embellishment of ceramic surfaces. Students are encouraged to identify this subject with their core subject studio.
