Objectives On successful completion of this subject, students should have an understanding of the basic ceramic surface decoration procedures and techniques; a growing appreciation of the sensitively decorated ceramic surface; a knowledge and awareness of the safe use of decorating materials.

Synopsis Formal studio sessions, demonstrations and lectures introduce students to design processes, technical procedures and materials associated with the embellishment of ceramic surfaces. Students are encouraged to identify this subject with their core subject studio.
