Ceramic mould-forming processes 1

Objectives On successful completion of this subject, students should possess a developing range of skills in the forming of models for basic mould making; appreciate design principles for plaster mould making and understand of basic plaster technology; be aware of safety procedures for ceramic mould forming.

Synopsis Formal studio sessions, demonstrations and lectures introduce students to designing processes, technical procedures and materials associated with basic ceramic mould-forming processes. Students are encouraged to identify this elective with their core subject studio.
