Objectives On completion of this unit students are expected to understand the psychosocial factors related to physical, social and cognitive growth; explain the concepts of life span development; define the psychological importance of significant life stages and events.
Synopsis Social psychology and nursing; developmental psychology; theories of personality; lifespan developmental issues; psychosocial issues in each phase of the life span; death and dying. The subject is taught by lectures and workshops.
Assessment Examination (90 mins): 60% * Workshop presentations: 40%
