Prerequisites: BA in Japanese with Monash post-level D Japanese or
equivalent
Objectives On completion of this subject students should have developed a recognition of the specific qualities of the administrative Japanese in business situations. Students should be able to gain interactive competence through an examination of training programs, administrative structure and written channels of communication. Further understanding of current activities of Japanese companies in Australia is also explored.
Synopsis This subject aims to further develop communication skills applicable in Japanese business organisations in Japan and Australia. Both spoken and written language will be covered. Participation in visits to Japanese companies or business meetings is also a part of the subject program.
Assessment Weekly exercises/quizzes: 20%
