Postgraduate studies - Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture

The postgraduate programmes at Monash Art Design and Architecture train master's students and PhD candidates to challenge the aesthetic, formal and conceptual principles on which their undergraduate studies or professional practice is based. The Faculty has a strong profile of research through creative practice and our community include some of Australia's leading contemporary visual practitioners.

Postgraduate coursework degrees have been developed for graduates to advance their practice through studio work and creative practice to extend career opportunities. Students will challenge conventions and enhance individual and collaborative skills.

Coursework master's degrees at the Caulfield campus encompass architecture, design, multimedia and multimedia design. The Gippsland Centre for Art and Design offers a coursework master's program in visual arts.

Monash Art, Design and Architecture has one of the largest and most innovative studio-research programs nationally. Research through creative practice is developed in studio outcomes and contextualised in supporting written discussion.
