Monash University Handbook 2011

Government and University legislation

Monash University education policies and procedures provide a statement of the principles that govern the planning and conduct of education programs across the University. Education policies and procedures are reviewed on a trhee-year cycle or as required. To ensure that you are referring to the most recent version of the policies and procedures referred to in this guide, you are advised to look at the full text of the policy on the University policy bank at http://www.policy.monash.edu/policy-bank/index.html.

All Monash students are subject to rules contained in Federal and Victorian State Government Acts, Monash University Statutes, Regulations and policies. As a Monash student, you are responsible for making yourself familiar with the statutes, regulations, policies and procedures that directly apply to you and your course of study. Some additional rules may apply to certain groups of students such as higher degree research candidates, or students studying at Sunway campus, Malaysia or Monash South Africa.
