Description

Graduates with a major in Business modelling will be able to pursue employment as business analysts particularly for large systems in both the public and private sectors.

Units

To complete the Business modelling major in the Bachelor of Commerce, students must complete:

(a.) The following five units (30 points):

  • ETC1010 Data modelling and computing
  • ETC2440 Mathematics for economics and business
  • ETC2470 Applied business modelling
  • ETC2480 Business modelling methods
  • ETC3490 Business simulation

(b.) three units from the following list (18 points):

Note: The major requires completion of at least two units (12 points) at each of second and third-year levels.

Recommendations

The Faculty also offers related majors in the areas of:

  • Econometrics and business statistics
