DescriptionIn this major students study a range of technologies such as network administration, operating systems, web systems development, authentication, cryptography, information and network security, identity management and trusted software systems. Graduates from this major will have a strong grounding in information system security methods and will be prepared for careers in areas such as wireless and connected network security management, application security analysis, design and implementation and security solutions management. The major includes study in information systems security, network security, software security, privacy and the law, risk analysis and threat modeling risk management. Further Information Technology unitsStudents take six points of level three Information Technology units offered by the Faculty of Information Technology. Elective unitsStudents complete 36 points of electives, of which no more than 24 points may be taken at level one; the remaining units must be at level two or three.
