DescriptionIn this major students learn about digital and interactive systems and the important links between technological and presentation skills. The major focuses on the multimedia development process and provides students with the knowledge and skills essential for the analysis, design and implementation of computer based multimedia products, services and systems. The major includes thirteen specialist multimedia applications major units covering the areas of web development, CD/DVD authoring, educational multimedia, video and 3D animation. The multimedia applications major includes two third level units of project work in a studio environment. UnitsTo qualify for the award of Bachelor of Information Technology and Systems with a major in multimedia applications, students must complete the course requirements outlined below. Elective unitsStudents complete 24 points of electives, of which no more than 12 points may be taken at level one; the remaining units must be at level two or three.
