DescriptionThe growth of the use of the internet around the world has spurred the development of new computer systems that exploit the internet's capabilities. This major is for students with a keen interest in the internet and focuses on internet technologies and web based applications development for both desktop and mobile environments. This major includes studies in internet applications development, security, e-business, network administration and human computer interaction. Students develop internet applications using a variety of technologies and development environments. UnitsTo qualify for the award of Bachelor of Information Technology and Systems with a major in internet systems, students must complete the course requirements outlined below. Further Information Technology unitsStudents take six points of level three Information Technology units offered by the Faculty of Information Technology. Elective unitsStudents complete 36 points of electives, of which no more than 24 points may be taken at level one; the remaining units must be at level two or three.
