Objectives
On completion of this unit students, will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of women's and children's health issues in resource poor settings from a life cycle perspective;
- Describe the current health status of women and children in resource poor settings and analyse the determinants of their health;
- Explain policy trends in relation to women's and children's health in resource poor settings;
- Identify the essential elements of effective strategies to promote women's and children's health in resource poor settings.
