Synopsis

Conversational materials are introduced week by week, with discussion of grammar and of the social and cultural factors that affect language-use in Java. Students begin to hold simple conversations and to write simple exercises in Javanese.

Exam: 40%
Oral and periodic tests: 40%
Class exercises: 20%
