Synopsis
Students read further Latin texts and continue their study in the language.
Objectives
On completion of this unit, students will have gained:
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of Classical Latin grammar and vocabulary.
- Extensive experience in reading and interpreting Classical Latin literature.
- Specialised knowledge of style and genre in Classical Latin literature.
- Critical technique in analysis and interpretation of Classical Latin literature.
Assessment
Written work (weekly assignments equivalent to 1000 words and one 2500 word essay): 50%
Examinations(2 x 1 hour): 50%
