Government and University legislation
Monash University education policies provide a statement of the principles that govern the planning and conduct of education programs across the University. Education policies are regularly reviewed to ensure that they are up to date and appropriate. To ensure that you are referring to the most recent version of the policies and procedures referred to in this section of the Handbook, you are advised to look at the full text of the policy on the University policy bank at http://www.policy.monash.edu/policy-bank/index.html.
Monash students are subject to rules contained in Australian Federal and Victorian State Government Acts, Monash University Statutes, Regulations and policies. Some additional rules may apply to specific groups of students such as higher degree research candidates, or students studying at Sunway campus, Malaysia or Monash South Africa. As a Monash student, you are responsible for making yourself familiar with the rules that directly apply to you and your course of study.
