Requirements
All students must complete units to the value of 144 points, including one of the course models outlined below, with the restrictions that:
- at least 36 points be completed at a third-year level
- no more than 10 units (60 points) be completed at a first-year level.

(a.) a major in linguistics (48 points)
(b.) a major in English (48 points) including the core unit ENH1010 Reading writing literature
Model 2
(For students who meet the faculty's English as a second language criterion)
(a.) a major in linguistics (48 points)
(b.) a major in English as an international language (48 points)
Model 3
(For students who meet the faculty's English as a second language criterion)
(a.) a major in linguistics (48 points)
(b.) a major in English as an international language (48 points)
(c.) a minor in English (24 points) including the core unit ENH1010 Reading writing literature
