International development - Faculty of ArtsOffered by the School of Geography and Environmental ScienceResearch in international development covers the ideas and debates that comprise the over-arching term 'Development'. The focus is on contemporary concerns with the processes, theories and practices of globalisation and environmental sustainability in the international context. Supervision of PhD and Masters candidates is available in research which relates to global production systems, foreign investment, devolution of governance, centralisation of geopolitical power, changing concepts of property in natural resource exploitation and management, poverty, ethnic minorities and political participation and representation.
