Graduates will be capable of pursuing careers in a wide range of management areas. The course blends a conceptual theoretical framework with practical applications and covers basic discipline material through to more specialised management requirements. Graduates will be well equipped to seek employment in both private and public-sector enterprises. Course objectivesThe learning goals of this course are to: take a structured approach to business data analysis, problem solving and decision making; apply relevant theory, tools and techniques to solving problems in a dynamic business environment; carry out an organisation's specific projects and recommend responses to issues and opportunities that may impact on an organisation's performance; operate effectively in a multidisciplinary business environment while providing specialist advice from a management perspective; approach business issues in a professional and socially responsible manner. Course structureThe course structure has three main components:
Course requirementsThe degree requires completion of 24 units (144 points) over a maximum of 10 years as follows: (a) 16 units (96 points) from the faculty in the Bachelor of Business at the Caulfield campus as follows: (i) six compulsory common core units (36 points)
(ii) a major of 10 units (60 points) in management
(iii) additional units from the faculty in the Bachelor of Business at the Caulfield campus to reach the required minimum of 16 units (b) eight open electives (48 points)
