Course objectivesOn completion of the course students are expected to have developed the knowledge, skills and attributes to: 1. provide high quality health care specifically oriented to the health needs of rural communities; 2. apply their critical and creative skills to address rural health policy; 3. be able to take positions of leadership in rural clinical practice, teaching, health promotion, management or research; 4. use the new electronic communication systems to advance their rural health practice; 5. contribute to the development of rural health knowledge and practice through scholarly debate, publication/and or presentation of their work and where appropriate by their research activities; 6. demonstrate an ability to critically evaluate scholarly work in their field.
