New legal regimes are evolving rapidly to meet the needs of these changes. This course aims to keep participants abreast of the laws relating to electronic commerce and the internet. It draws from the strengths within the Law School in relation to electronic commerce and internet law. Course structureThe course comprises eight 6-point units. Candidates must complete five units offered as part of the Master of Laws specialising in digital economy law. The remaining three units may be taken from any units offered in the masters coursework program. Alternatively, students can elect one of the following options:
A candidate with a degree in a discipline other than law or a candidate with a law degree from a non-Australian jurisdiction will be required to complete the unit LAW7212 (Australian legal system), unless an exemption is granted. The units in the specialisation will be those which are specified from time to time by the faculty board on the recommendation of the Postgraduate Studies Committee of the faculty.
